Geisen & Forsthoff, Generations of Quality
Following World War I, with the German economy in shambles, founders Paul Geisen and Eugen Forsthoff took the brave step of establishing their company in January 1920. Geisen & Forsthoff quickly earned the reputation of producing outstanding cutlery and tools from only the highest quality materials.
In 1924, Geisen & Forsthoff moved from a private house in Solingen to larger quarters in the center of Solingen. At the time, Solingen was home to many small workshops and businesses, and had no large industrial plants.
The company grew and thrived despite Germany's economic problems by building up a large export business in addition to providing high quality products at home. The company's Timor scissors and its knives, blades, and manicure, pedicure, and hairdressing instruments made the Geisen & Forsthoff name synonymous with quality throughout Europe - and beyond.
Now, Colonel's Shave Shop proudly offers fine Geisen & Forsthoff shaving and manicure implements to the American market.
